Position Summary

The Quality Control Technician provides technical support to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and environmental standards are consistently met. This role performs chemical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, analyzes results, and recommends adjustments as needed.

The position also supports continuous improvement efforts and actively participates in Quality, Health, and Safety programs, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety policies and maintain safe work practices in accordance with company standards

  • Conduct testing on raw materials, production batches, and finished goods; accurately record and evaluate results

  • Calculate and recommend product adjustments to meet quality specifications

  • Ensure production aligns with Bill of Materials (BOM) requirements

  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions related to batch production

  • Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment

  • Prepare and review Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) for raw materials and finished goods

  • Perform internal and finished goods audits; support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance efforts

  • Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions

  • Collaborate with R&D and Regulatory teams on product or process improvements and non-conformance issues

  • Prepare lab samples for testing new materials, processes, or troubleshooting production issues

  • Maintain laboratory supplies and ensure proper inventory levels

  • Review and update laboratory procedures and work instructions as needed

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field preferred

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of quality control or laboratory experience preferred

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability

  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures and analytical chemistry techniques

  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation and calibration

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and systems such as SAP or similar ERP tools

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours at a time)

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 45 lbs

The expected compensation range for this position is between $40,390.00 and $59,235.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
