Job Title: Regional Inplant Operations Manager (RIPO)

Location: Wisconsin / Minnesota / Missouri / South Dakota

First Shift: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm


OVERVIEW:Responsible for managing approximately 12separate customer in-plant sites, whose Sun Chemical employees have day/to/day operational responsibility. This includes personnel, operational and safety management functions as well as occasional technical service and customer interaction. Will berequiredto manage efforts of employee roster to guarantee adherence toSOP'sfor all job functions, whileoperatingin a safe andaccident freeenvironment. Willbe responsible forcascading down to all employees the necessary KPI's (internal and customer driven) and insuring site employees areoperatingat an expected level of excellence for all in-plant sites.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Managemultipleindividualin-plantoperationsites,insuringadherencetoSOPs,audits,andother processes and systems including production, quality, reporting, safety,quality of life (O/T) and training metrics wellestablishedby stated Sun Chemical in-plantguidelinesandobjectives.





  • Manage local team AND escalate customer related concernsregardingadministrative needs such as ordering, shipping, receiving, pricing etc. Also,maintainmanagerial awareness of customer successes and challenges,ensuringthat there is a Sunsolution (competitive barrier) for customer concerns. This includesadvanceduse of ITsolutions (sf.com) foraccuratedepiction of the state of the customer in all communicationsinternal.EscalationandsenseofurgencyskillsareimperativeinidentifyingwhenRSMand/or sales professionalsmustbeengagedforcommercial matters.





  • Work with CTS representatives and managers as needed toinsurebest in class product, training andvalue-addedsolutions are made available to willing customer partners.






  • Ensurethat all Sun employees are working in a safe andaccident-freemannerpursuant toSunChemicaltrainingandinitiatives.





  • PlanhighleveltrainingandbestinclassSOPtosupportcustomerobjectives.Planthepursuit of continuous improvement goals andobjectives.





  • Plan travel itinerarytomaximize efficiency of time and coverage of operations within scope of responsibility. Meet budgetary guidelines and directives.





  • Thispositionrequirestheabilityofthe incumbenttomanageand report time and attendance, vacation coverage,andappropriateexpensesforindividual sites; to contribute to wise business decisions via auditing functions aroundinvestmentofSunChemicalfundsforcustomerCAR/WhitePaperexercises.



REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



  • Mustbe willingtotravelupto60%forcustomer'ssitelocation.





  • Musthave10- 15yearsofindustryexperience





  • Mustpossessbothstrongverbaland writtencommunicationskills.Thisisapositionthat requiresa higherdegree ofinterpersonalskilltobesuccessful.





  • Strongwrittencommunicationskillsarerequired.
