DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position plays an important part in supporting the Commercial Registration Section by handling a variety of clerical tasks that keep daily operations running smoothly. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Mail Processing: Open, sort, log, and batch incoming applications
- Label Preparation: Type or create mailing labels for correspondence and registration materials
- Item Transport: Operate a pushcart to pick up and deliver envelopes, packages, plates, reports, and other assigned items throughout the building
- Product Security: Maintain security of registration products, applications, and revenue associated with motor carrier activity
- Data Entry: Use basic data entry tools in Microsoft software to process, track, and inquire on work
- Revenue Handling: Manage revenue collections and follow cash drawer policies

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $$38,515.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
