Candidates must be within a commutable distance of a Consumers Energy Service Center or be willing to relocate (relocation assistance is available for those who qualify). GENERAL SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Senior Construction Manager is responsible for the leadership, management, administration, and execution of the physical construction phase of projects. The successful candidate will also have familiarity with various project delivery and contracting methodologies, including Build Transfer Agreements (BTA), Self-Build, Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC), Lump Sum, and Time & Materials contracts. Assigned projects will vary in scope and complexity, ranging from routine and repetitive large-scale construction projects to complex, large-scale portfolio and retrofit projects. While this role is primarily focused on renewable generation projects, it may also support initiatives across Consumers Energy's broader utility portfolio, including Fossil Generation, Gas Compression, Gas Storage, Gas Distribution and Transmission, Electric Transmission & Distribution, and Facilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist design engineering concerning the application and limitations of construction methodologies and equipment. Perform constructability reviews of 30%, 60%, and 90% drawings. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES * Ability to follow union contracts as they relate to managing projects.
