The Opportunity:

Working as part of a team, you will act on all elements of a deal from term sheet stage, through negotiation of transaction documents to closing and post-closing. Alternatively, if the brief is advisory, you will look to analyse the issue, drawing on the Firm's expertise resources, and prepare initial views and advice before engaging with senior colleagues. In either case you will interact with clients and with colleagues from the globe and across the Firm, and will need to be responsive to client needs and open to opportunities to grow your expertise and the business as a whole.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Drafting of legal documents and agreements;
  • Review of legal documents and agreements;
  • Contributing to department know-how;
  • Advising clients and preparing formal legal opinions;
  • Leading negotiations with counter parts; and
  • Matter completion and post-closing work

This is a full-time, permanent role based in our New York office.

About you:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Mid-level New York qualified derivatives lawyer who has experience in credit derivatives and structured credit transactions and US regulatory regime and bankruptcy issues in derivatives, digital assets and related transactions and activities
  • Good organizational skills and experience in transaction management
  • Excellent academic track record
  • Experience of cross-border work
  • Excellent client relationship skills and experience of business development
  • Attention to detail

Salary Banding: $260,000 - $420,000
