Inova Schar Cancer Research is looking for a dedicated Clinical Research Specialist 1 - Oncology & Sickle Cell to join the Team. This hybrid role will be full-time day-shift working Monday - Friday located in Fairfax, VA.

The Clinical Research Specialist 1 - Oncology & Sickle Cell assists investigators and research staff in the conduct of clinical research studies. Performs a variety of research, data, and clerical duties of a routine and technical nature to support the conduct of clinical research.

Clinical Research Specialist 1 - Oncology & Sickle Cell Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the preparation and submission of regulatory documents to the study sponsor and IRB, as required by the protocol and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist in the conduct and documentation of study visits and protocol-specific testing/interviews according to the study protocol.

  • Assists the research team in completing case report forms accurately and according to the protocol.

  • Completes study procedures, as relevant to training and certification.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience entering, reviewing, and maintaining accurate data in electronic systems preferred.

  • Proficiency using electronic databases, data management systems, and Microsoft Office applications preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies preferred.
