Vickers and Nolan Enterprises (VNE) is an engineering company that provides Government projects and programs with experienced and dedicated system architects, engineers, subject matter experts (in tactical intelligence), and program managers. VNE also develops training courses and tools to prepare warfighters to effectively employ tactical intelligence systems and provide management guidance to the Government organizations that develop these systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related field.


Experience:




  • Location: Stafford, VA or Charleston, SC
  • Travel: Up to 10%


  • Three (3) to seven (7) years of professional experience in business operations, finance, project support, administration, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across the organization.
  • Developing knowledge of the FAR and DFAR.


Desired Qualifications



  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) contracts or government programs.
  • Knowledge of project controls, budgeting, forecasting, or financial reporting.
  • Experience supporting executive leadership teams.
  • Familiarity with government contracting environments and contract administration.
  • Experience working within ISO 9001, CMMC, or other regulated business environments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Job Description:

Vickers & Nolan Enterprises (VNE) is seeking a highly motivated and versatile Business Operations Analyst to support the company's financial management, program operations, and executive leadership functions. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient execution of corporate operations by providing analytical, administrative, and operational support across multiple business areas.

The Business Operations Analyst will work directly with senior leadership and program personnel to support financial reporting, business operations, contract and program administration, strategic initiatives, and executive-level activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, proactive, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic government contracting environment.



  • Generates a wide variety of reports, analyses, provides recommendations, and develops presentations in collaboration with other Directorates, including:

    • Monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and budget tracking.
    • Labor utilization analysis and operational performance metrics.
    • Annual budgeting and strategic planning efforts.
    • Courses of actions (COAs) and recommendations for financial issues.


  • Identify trends, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Coordinate and track project activities to help ensure Cost, Schedule and Performance are met.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support, including scheduling and facilitating meetings, preparing documentation (briefing materials, correspondence, presentations, reports), recording action items.
  • Maintain and update progress trackers, reports, and program documentation.
  • Assist in organizing data, compiling inputs, and preparing summaries for leadership review.
  • Support communication across project teams and stakeholders, ensuring timely dissemination of information.
  • Review and interpret guidance such as Executive Orders, DoD, DoN, SECNAV, and NAVSEA directives to support program staff.


  • Coordinate corporate travel, conferences, and leadership events.
  • Serve as a liaison between executives, employees, customers, and business partners.
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Support day-to-day operational requirements that contribute to the successful execution of company objectives.
  • Format new hire resumes to VNE style resumes.


Essential Duties of the Job:



  • Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
  • Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
  • Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
  • Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face

  • While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (i.e. general office environment).
