Position Summary

The IT Server and Storage Engineer is responsible for design, implementation, management, and monitoring of the enterprise server and storage infrastructure. The server and storage engineer will ensure maximum uptime of the infrastructure and applications to support users, document and maintain hardware and application configurations and designs. They will also be responsible for upgrades, updates, and patching of server and storage infrastructure. The server and storage engineer must also troubleshoot performance and outage issues involving the server and storage infrastructure. They will also be involved in managing the relationships with vendors and service providers of server and storage products and services.

Essential Responsibilities & Expectations



  • Server virtualization environment configuration and management
  • Enterprise class storage configuration and management
  • Database configuration and management
  • Cloud configuration and management
  • Enterprise printing configuration and management and automated printer supply order management
  • Document management System management and administration
  • Management and administration of enterprise supporting services, such as directory services, name resolution, network address management
  • Microsoft Active Directory management and administration
  • Enterprise data backup management and administration
  • Change management and software updates for all server and storage infrastructure
  • Security of the enterprise server and storage infrastructure as well as securing the data stored on the infrastructure


Qualifications

Education



  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering or equivalent experience required


Experience



  • 8+ years of server and storage management and administration required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work with non-technical users and management to assess and understand their needs required.

  • VMWare virtualization administration
  • Windows Server configuration and administration
  • HPE enterprise storage (SAN) administration
  • Microsoft SQL database administration
  • Commvault backup and recovery administration
  • Microsoft Office 365 administration
  • Microsoft Azure administration
  • Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory administration
  • Project management
  • Self-motivated, team player
  • Action and results oriented.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Solid customer service and delivery skills
  • Be able to work well under tight project deadlines

Working Conditions



  • Work is normally performed in an office environment.
  • Sitting at a desk for extended periods of time could be required.
  • Travel could be within corporate office locations by car or other parts of the country via air travel.
