POSITION SUMMARY The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for planning and overseeing the completion of physical counts of the inventory and collaborating with the shipping department to assure on time delivery of shipments. Daily activities include processing inventory adjustments, properly packing shipments for CONUS and OCONUS travel, and arrange transportation schedules with carriers. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. RESPONSIBILITIES This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Responsible for the issuance of inventory material from locations with attention to detail
- Ensure the accuracy of inventory is maintained
- Properly utilizing WMS to decrement quantities from inventory
- Conduct physical inventory, cycle counts and enter quantity onto count sheet
- Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments
- Maintains shipment files, issues reports, and responds to customer inquiries regarding status of shipments.
- Operates forklift, inventory picker, and pallet-jack to pull and move stock for staging or shipment.
- Creates shipping documentation including bills of lading, shipping labels, and export paperwork. (NAFTA Certs, AES filing, Hazardous Material Declarations)
- Works closely with logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery of shipments
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience working in a warehouse environment
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion
- Problem solving skills with analytical thought process. Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Must have a valid US drivers license and satisfactory driver record, and capable of obtaining Forklift/Heavy Equipment operators license
- Must be able to lift, lower, carry, push or move objects at a minimum up to 50 lbs. Various tasks may require intermittent standing or prolonged sitting, and the ability to walk, reach, kneel, crouch and handle work related supplies and tools.
