Oracle Database Automation Engineer Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid - Minimum 3 days onsite) W2 Only Required Qualifications * 7+ years of experience with Oracle databases, including work on Exadata platforms * Strong, hands-on expertise with Ansible (mandatory) * Proficiency in Shell scripting and/or Python * Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, XLR, or similar platforms * Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot automation frameworks * Excellent communication and collaboration skills Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Oracle databases on Exadata platforms and strong hands-on experience with Ansible automation. This role is ideal for a DevOps-oriented database professional who thrives in building automation, optimizing processes, and working within modern CI/CD environments. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, quick learner, and strong communicator who can work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for Oracle database environments, particularly on Exadata * Build and manage Ansible playbooks to automate database provisioning, patching, and operational workflows * Develop and maintain scripts using Shell and/or Python to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort * Integrate database automation processes into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, XL Release (XLR), or similar * Troubleshoot and optimize automation and database performance issues * Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and application teams in an Agile environment Preferred Qualifications * Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments * Familiarity with Jira and enterprise release management tools (e.g., Horizon, XLR) * Experience in large-scale enterprise or financial services environments Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Plano, TX.
