In Anticipation of Funding Award.

Torch Technologies Inc., is seeking a Mid-Level Software IV&V Engineer to support the THAAD weapon system. This role is responsible for providing objective, independent assessments of THAAD tactical software artifacts to ensure reliability, safety, and compliance with mission requirements. The successful candidate will analyze source code, evaluate software architecture, and execute automated validation routines to identify defects before deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform static and dynamic code analysis on tactical software using industry-standard tools.
  • Evaluate software requirements for testability, completeness, and correctness.
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts and data analysis routines to validate software performance.
  • Review and assess Software Requirement Specifications (SRS) and Software Version Descriptions (SVD).
  • Collaborate with software development teams to track defect resolution and ensure software quality assurance (SQA) standards are met.
  • Participate in software peer reviews, agile sprint planning, and formal milestone reviews.

Education & Experience:

  • US Citizenship.
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5 to 8 years of professional experience in software engineering, software testing, or software IV&V, preferably within the defense or aerospace sector.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as C++, Python, and Ada.
  • Experience with real-time embedded systems and tactical weapon system software architectures.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interrogate complex code bases.
  • Must have an active current security clearance.
