POSITION SCOPE

The Blast Supervisor is a safety sensitive position responsible for all Blast related operations for a designated job or jobs. Maintain a high quality of workmanship while supervising employees in the blasting crew.

This position requires extensive out-of-town travel.

The successful applicant should have supervisory experience and a thorough understanding of blasting techniques... blast design, loading holes, selecting and operating non-electric detonators, demonstrate grade and elevation readings, secure blast sites and identify explosives.

Possessing a current CDL is not required but will increase starting pay in this position.

PRIMARY DUTIES



  • Assigning and performing blasting activities
  • Works as a job site blaster supervisor directing blasting crew
  • Identifies and resolves blast site problems
  • Understands and follows all company safety policies and procedures
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Present and maintain a professional image of the company to customers and the public
  • Wear all the required personal protective equipment
  • Attend company meetings as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Minimum two years of experience working with drills and explosives
  • Must pass ATF background check
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to get to and from work
  • Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Travel is required
