PTP Disbursements Lead Nashville, TN Pay: $68.00 - $73.50 26-05991 Job Summary The PTP Disbursements Lead is responsible for overseeing global payment operations and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant disbursement execution across multiple ERP platforms during a large-scale ERP consolidation initiative. This role will serve as the subject matter expert for payment processing, disbursement controls, banking integrations, and payment-related system activities. The ideal candidate will bring extensive Procure-to-Pay (PTP) and Accounts Payable (AP) leadership experience, deep expertise with Oracle Fusion Payments, strong root cause analysis capabilities, and a proven ability to lead globally distributed teams through complex transformation initiatives. Job Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end disbursement operations, including ACH, wire transfers, check processing, direct debits, and virtual card payments across multiple ERP environments.
- Ensure accurate and timely payment execution in accordance with vendor payment terms, cash flow objectives, and internal controls.
- Manage payment exceptions, payment holds, and failed payment resolution while conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
- Partner with Treasury, Finance, and Banking teams to support payment file transmissions, bank connectivity, and electronic payment processing requirements.
- Oversee year-end tax reporting and withholding requirements related to disbursement activities.
- Serve as the disbursements subject matter expert during ERP consolidation activities, including system design, configuration, integration testing, and go-live readiness.
- Manage payment-related integrations between ERP platforms, banking systems, and third-party payment providers.
- Identify and resolve integration gaps, configuration issues, and payment processing challenges affecting payment accuracy and timing.
- Lead post-implementation stabilization efforts, including payment exception management, reconciliation activities, and banking connectivity issue resolution.
- Establish and enforce disbursement controls, segregation of duties, positive pay processes, and fraud prevention measures.
- Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and maintain complete documentation and audit trails.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support bank account validation, duplicate payment prevention, and payment compliance activities.
- Lead the resolution of aged, delinquent, and recurring payment issues across multiple business functions.
- Conduct root cause analysis on payment failures, recurring errors, and evaluated receipt settlement (ERS) processing issues.
- Develop and maintain executive-level dashboards and reporting focused on payment performance, aging, compliance, and operational metrics.
- Monitor key performance indicators including payment cycle time, on-time payment rates, exception volumes, delinquency metrics, and payment error rates.
- Identify process improvement opportunities, automation initiatives, and control enhancements to optimize payment operations.
- Maintain and improve standard operating procedures and training documentation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop globally distributed teams while driving accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive AP/PTP experience focused on disbursements and payment operations.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Director-level, Vice President-level, or equivalent leadership role.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Payments.
- Experience supporting Oracle Fusion implementations and payment-related system integrations.
- Experience managing payment operations across multiple ERP platforms simultaneously.
- Deep expertise in payment methods, including ACH, wire transfers, checks, direct debits, and virtual cards.
- Strong knowledge of bank connectivity, payment file formats, and payment processing workflows.
- Comprehensive understanding of disbursement controls, SOX compliance, and fraud prevention practices.
- Proven experience supporting ERP migration or consolidation initiatives from a payments perspective.
- Experience leading large, globally distributed teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, root cause analysis, and executive communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up time.
- Flexibility to collaborate with team members across multiple time zones and adjust work schedules as business needs require.
Work Experience
- Extensive leadership experience in Procure-to-Pay, Accounts Payable, disbursements, payment operations, or related financial operations.
- Experience supporting global payment operations within complex, multi-entity organizations.
- Experience managing payment-related process improvements, controls, compliance initiatives, and operational transformation projects.
- Experience working within shared services, global business services, or enterprise-scale operational environments is preferred.
