Overview The Associate, Corporate Affairs supports the day-to-day operations and strategic priorities of the Corporate Affairs Office of the SVP. Reporting to the Strategic Advisor to the SVP, this role provides critical support across internal and leadership communications for the Corporate Affairs organization, constituent inquiries and escalation, materials development, and internal coordination. The Associate works closely with the broader Office of the SVP, the Corporate Affairs leadership team, and cross-functional partners to ensure timely, accurate, and thoughtful handling of sensitive communications, constituent inquiries, internal communications, and leadership engagement. This position requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly visible environment. Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Support drafting, tracking, follow-up, and response to sensitive communications received by the Corporate Affairs Office of the SVP
- Research and provide report-outs to the appropriate team members on inquiries received by the Corporate Affairs Office of the SVP through constituent and escalation
- Assist in preparing presentation decks, memos, and other materials for senior leadership and the Board of Directors
- Draft internal communications for the Corporate Affairs department, including newsletters, email announcements, SharePoint updates, and other content
- Manage preparation for internal meetings, including creating presentation materials, coordinating logistics, and briefing speakers
- Manage small- to mid-size projects with supervision from the Strategic Advisor
- Support other needs of the Corporate Affairs Office of the SVP and Corporate Affairs organization as assigned
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and Full-time or internship experience will count towards the one-year minimum of work experience requirement; Candidates that have participated in the companys full-time college cooperative or summer cooperative internships for a minimum of six months meet the EP experience requirements.
Relevant Work Experience

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, required.
- Must demonstrate ability to accept challenges and solve problems, required.

- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, required.

- Experience in database management, preferred.
- Interest in communications, government relations, or community relations, preferred.

Additional Physical Demands
- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
