Position Overview
RJY Group LLC is seeking a results-driven Business Sales Manager to spearhead revenue growth across commercial and industrial markets. This is a high-impact, externally-focused sales role with primary emphasis on the central and mid-west United States - with expansion responsibility extending nationwide.
The Business Sales Manager will own the full sales cycle: identifying opportunities, building relationships, developing proposals, and closing contracts across RJY's core service lines - HVAC preventive maintenance and repair, generator services, load bank testing, data center solutions, and large-scale facility maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new revenue growth with a primary focus on the central and mid-west U.S. region, with accountability for national expansion over time.
- Identify, pursue, and close non-governmental contract opportunities across commercial and industrial sectors.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting HVAC, generator, load bank testing, data center, and facility maintenance services.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities across all target markets.
- Cultivate lasting relationships with healthcare systems, data centers, commercial property owners, general contractors, and facility managers.
- Lead client presentations, site visits, and discovery meetings with a consultative sales approach.
- Own proposal development, pricing strategy, and contract negotiation.
- Partner with internal operations teams to ensure seamless project handoff and client satisfaction.
- Report on pipeline status, revenue forecasts, and market intelligence to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of business development or sales experience in commercial services, mechanical contracting, or related industries.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems, standby generator solutions, or data center infrastructure.
- Proven track record of securing service contracts and long-term service agreements.
- Self-starter with strong hunter mentality and ability to manage a large geographic territory independently.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales reporting tools.
Territory & Travel
Primary Territory: Central and mid-west United States, including Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, New Mexico, and surrounding states.
Expansion Scope: Nationwide, as the role develops and additional markets are identified.
Travel Requirement: Frequent travel expected (up to 50%), with home base in the greater Houston, Texas area preferred.
