Temple University's College of Liberal Arts Psychology Department is searching for a Lab Supervisor!

Salary Range: $41,250 - $50,000
A variety of important factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, the applicant's education and experience, all relevant internal equity considerations, department budget, and funding source.

Position Summary
Under the guidance of Dr. Ellman, the Lab Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operational and student-related functions of the Ellman Laboratory, which has multiple large-scale studies examining risk factors for psychosis and other mental disorders. The responsibilities associated with the position include the following: managing grant-related activities, such as, managing multiple budgets; setting up grant and contract records; developing and maintaining systems for record management; generating progress reports for funding agencies; maintaining internal methods and procedures to ensure compliance with funding sources and Temple's IRB; coordinating graduate and undergraduate student research work, including tracking and reporting functions; and coordinating student summer intern programs; maintaining systems for tracking, monitoring, and reporting program expenditures; and overseeing activity planning for meetings, workshops, and special events. In addition, the Lab Administrator will act as a liaison between the lab and Temple University departments as well as external constituents (partner institutions and the National Institutes of Health), and will perform other related duties as assigned.

If appropriate expertise is available, the responsibilities also can include data management, data cleaning, and data organization; however, this is dependent on expertise of the applicant. These are the expected responsibilities, but the position may not be limited to these responsibilities.

Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in health-related field (psychology, neuroscience, public health).
* At least 3 years of experience post-graduation from a bachelor's degree in a similar role.
* An equivalent combination and education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities
* Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications. (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Demonstrated verbal and communication skills.
* Excellent organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize tasks and work within tight deadlines.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills with department colleagues and University personnel, along with the ability to work with a diverse population of administrators, faculty, staff, students and external constituents.
* Experience with training and managing team members.
* Experience with grants management.
* Experience managing budget portfolios.
