Job Title: Demand Planning Specialist
Location: Rockford, TN
Employment Type: Contract (3 months)
Industry: Manufacturing
Compensation: $22.85 - $30.71 /hr.
Schedule: 40 hrs/Week. - (1 st shift)
About the Opportunity:
  • Completes regular forecasting and planning for several relevant indicators (turnover, production, inventories, changes in inventory, capital expenditure requirements, employee capacities).
  • Analyzes, controls, and reports on relevant KPI (productivity, profitability, capital tie-up, assets), detects and evaluates plan deviations, and derives recommendations for respective remedial measures.
  • Performs qualified cost-and-profitability analyses for specific business cases (product launches, relocations, review of vertical range of manufacturing) to prepare respective alternative decisions.
  • Develops supplier forecasts and determines logistical processes with suppliers.
  • Introduces and implements logistical requirements regarding material provision and delivery, as well as material phase-in/out in the PLM process.

What You'll Do:
  • Plans and controls assigned inventories and stocks (supply level, planning adjustments), analyzes inventory changes, and develops measures for inventory reduction.
  • Analyzes and controls logistical processes (Cycle Time, First Pass Yield, On-time delivery, KPI of effectiveness, productivity), to detect process weaknesses and to start process improvements.
  • Maintains a network and cooperates with all involved stakeholders in the respective processes.
  • Needs professional technological, economic, or scientific know-how, methods, tools, and principles, and applies to differing and variable situations.
  • Needs to solve assigned, non-routine tasks, to contribute to projects or assignments, or to support development of guidelines, methods, tools, or business processes.
  • These positions are expected to contribute to and deliver business processes or detailed technology solutions in a self-managed and target-oriented manner, and thus contribute to team results.
  • Position focusing on analyzing, developing, testing, or implementing processes, technologies, and systems in their specific field of expertise, from first principles.
  • Targets are short to medium term (best to be characterized as milestones), and achievements are monitored.
  • They provide functional advice to and integrate the services of operational staff or semi-professional colleagues.
  • Develops basic business understanding.
  • Contributes to team effort, awareness of expected value added.
  • Improve processes, business methods, or technical components.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain planning, and operations analysis.

  • Good knowledge in a technical field or business method, including the basic theoretical background.
