Primary and Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Monitors and updates work order status and supporting information to ensure materials and documentation flow smoothly through production.
* Coordinates with department leads to assess production readiness, identify emerging shortages, and verify that incoming materials meet required standards.
* Confirms purchase orders and ensures deliveries are scheduled, tracked, and adjusted proactively to support uninterrupted production activity.
* Reviews material requirements and makes prompt adjustments to address immediate production needs or resolve potential delays.
* Maintains frequent communication with suppliers to obtain timely updates, expedite shipments, and realign delivery schedules when priorities shift.
* Communicates promptly with internal stakeholders regarding any constraints, backorders, or fulfillment issues affecting production output.
* Analyzes material movement patterns and historical usage to refine replenishment strategies and improve overall workflow efficiency.
* Supports sourcing activities by obtaining pricing, lead times, and relevant supplier information for planning and quoting purposes.
* Maintains accurate records of inbound shipments, status updates, and material flow within company systems.
* Provides clear and timely updates to sales, operations, and leadership regarding potential service risks, material delays, or stock availability issues.
* Performs trend analysis to identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels, improve data accuracy, and reduce process bottlenecks.
* Participates in the evaluation and ongoing performance review of suppliers, focusing on delivery reliability, responsiveness, and quality.
* Works closely with suppliers to reinforce performance expectations, address issues, and strengthen overall supply chain responsiveness.
* Supports and represents the mission, values, and culture of the organization through consistent communication and collaboration.
* Adheres to all established quality, safety, and compliance standards.
* Performs additional duties and supports special projects as assigned to maintain smooth operational flow.

Years Experience Level of Education
2-3 years of supply chain or operations experience
High School Diploma

Experience / Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
* Solid understanding of purchasing processes, material flow, and inventory management practices within a manufacturing environment.
* Working knowledge of logistics, basic accounting concepts, and warehouse operations that impact material movement and production readiness.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, responding quickly to changing production needs and time sensitive issues.
* Strong problem solving skills with the ability to recognize potential disruptions early and escalate or resolve them appropriately.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and leadership at all levels.
* Highly organized, with the ability to maintain accurate records, track multiple open items, and ensure timely follow through.
* Ability to maintain a safe and compliant work environment in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
* Proficiency with common business software, including Microsoft Office applications, and strong general computer skills.
* Experience working within ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
* Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Work Environment

* Work is accomplished in a typical office environment with adequate environmental (heating/cooling) control. The noise level in the work environment is moderate due to noises associated with computer equipment and environmental control systems
* This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets
* Access to operations and manufacturing areas may involve exposure to loud noises, dust, fumes, oils, and fluctuations in temperature

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
* Performs all work in accordance with safety and workmanship and good housekeeping specifications
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee alternates between sitting and standing/walking for long periods of time
* This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 lbs.
* Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as required per plant rules

Training
