Overview

TRC is seeking a Right of Way Supervisor in our Manassas, VA office to provide project oversight, continuous training, and evaluation of a team of individuals working on non-compensatory easement acquisitions, document recording, property research, titles and surveys in support of communications and electric utility-related projects, as well as supervision over project financials and client interaction.


Responsibilities

  • The Right of Way Supervisor will provide project oversight, continuous training, and evaluation of a team of individuals working on non-compensatory easement acquisitions, document recording, property research, titles and surveys in support of communications and electric utility-related projects, as well as supervision over project financials and client interaction.
  • Manage client expectations related to the deliverable.
  • Ability to read and understand title reports, land surveys, and technical drawings.
  • Coordinate team efforts including database management, meetings and reports.
  • Provide direction and management to a team of right of way agents and title researchers.
  • Participate in public involvement meetings.
  • Manage communications related to the internal team and the client.
  • Manage project planning, budgeting, and establishing critical team objectives.
  • Direct coordination with client's Right-of-Way department and internal staff
  • Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
  • Providing technical assistance to resolve issues and solve problems.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • The candidate must have the ability to think and work strategically, keep informed about project activities through communication, data evaluation, and participation in project meetings, manage and work well in a team environment, have excellent task management skills, a proven ability to communicate professionally, have a flexible schedule, create and manage a high-quality experience for property owners on behalf of clients, and be willing to work evenings and/or weekends, as needed.
  • Prior Right of Way acquisition experience required, preferably in a consulting firm.
  • Ability to interpret title reports, land surveys, and technical drawings required.
  • Knowledge of general real estate law.
  • Knowledge of real estate title work.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with clients, co-workers and other professionals.
  • Excellent computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite, and experience managing complex data in. databases.
  • This role requires the employee to travel regularly to meet with clients or vendors. While meeting with clients and vendors, will need to be outdoors traversing different types of landscapes.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
