Under minimal supervision, designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs complex software programs for enhancements and new products.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for complex concept design through the full development life cycle.
  • Prepares and conducts systems programming test requiring interfacing and software tests.
  • Coaches others in less senior positions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field and/or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

Three (3) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Responsible for the full software development lifecycle of agentic AI applications.
  • Focuses on agentic coding, building autonomous workflows, and integrating advanced language models into internal and external tools to automate complex tasks.

Skills

Agentic coding, LLM APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, etc.), Python, Prompt Engineering, developing autonomous agents, and Agile methodologies.

Domicile

This is a hybrid position located in Memphis, TN or Plano, TX. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the campus location. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx campus location several times per week
