Job Title: Data Intelligence - Engineer, Data Associate Job Location: Columbia, MD Duration: 12 Months - Temp to perm

Purpose:

  • Understands data needs and advise company on technological resources. Partners with senior level team members to aggregate and analyze various data sets to provide actionable insight. Develop reports, dashboards, and tools for business-users. Develop technical solutions to improve access to data and data usage. Develops and executes ETL code and ensures that the data loading processes are reliable and data quality remains high.
  • Must have previous Provider data experience working with leadership on provider data issues, accuracy, and provider data interactions with claims and claims platforms. Knowledge of Salesforce and Facets is required.
  • Previous demonstrable experience with reporting to leadership and working remotely with teams is preferred.

Essential Functions:

  • 30% Analyzes and validates existing routines and communicates impacts. Assists with data transformation, manipulation, and presentation to users.
  • 20% Works with Business Analysts, Business Intelligence Developers, Infrastructure Architects, and key business users to review, design, and develop data models and ETL processes.
  • 20% Supports the Software Engineering team with data analysis and validation with extensive SQL queries.
  • 15% Writes and executes ETL code, primarily complex SQL stored procedures, but with a strong ability to leverage other technologies.
  • 15% Partner with senior team members on the design, configuration and implementation of Data Integration Framework.

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree

Education Details: Information Technology or Computer Science or Engineering

In Lieu of Education: In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Knowledge and understanding of at least one programming language (i.e., SQL, NoSQL, Python)., Proficient
  • Knowledge and understanding of data exchange formats., Proficient
  • Knowledge and understanding of database design and implementation concepts., Proficient
  • Knowledge and understanding of data movement concepts., Proficient
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems., Proficient
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal., Proficient
