Who You Are...

As Regional Manager, you will serve as a partner to Branch Managers and local leadership teams to execute strategic initiatives within a designated region to drive growth, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the company's long term success through the indispensable vision. This role oversees the business functions for the region to drive financial performance, manage risks, and relies on financial reporting to support business decisions. This person serves as strategic leader with the ability to lead cross-functional teams to align regional operations with the Company's overall business strategy, identifying new market opportunities, understanding regional market dynamics, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence, and ensuring key business performance objectives are met or exceeded.

  • Advocates and reinforces the guiding principles, wellness program, and safety culture of the Company.
  • Regional Strategist: The Regional Manager designs and implements a comprehensive operating cadence to ensure regional teams fully integrate and execute the strategic vision of the Senior Leadership Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all sales and operational activities align seamlessly with both the company's short-term objectives and long-term vision. By partnering with local business units, the Regional Manager ensures that their objectives (VTO) are in sync with the broader corporate strategy. They provide critical decision-making guidance on the annual strategic plan, crafting and executing top account strategies to exceed financial targets while expanding the company's market presence and enhancing brand awareness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaborator: This role requires extensive collaboration with corporate departments, including finance, marketing, human resources, safety, and sales, to drive unified execution of regional initiatives. The Regional Manager spearheads or contributes to high-impact, cross-functional projects that influence regional performance. As the primary liaison between senior leadership and the region, they facilitate seamless communication, ensuring alignment of regional actions with overarching corporate goals.
  • Financial Leadership: Possessing a deep acumen for financial strategy, the Regional Manager leads all regional financial planning activities, including rigorous forecasting and budget management. In collaboration with Branch Managers and local leadership, they develop comprehensive business plans that align with the company's growth ambitions and optimize resource allocation to meet financial objectives. The Regional Manager maintains oversight of regional performance, leading weekly calls to review key financial metrics, identify variances, and drive corrective actions. Their expertise includes an understanding of shareholder expectations and the ability to communicate financial and business insights in alignment with public disclosures.
  • Attractor and Developer of Talent: A strategic talent architect, the Regional Manager takes responsibility for sourcing and retaining top-tier talent across the region. They hold local teams accountable for recruiting and nurturing high-performing individuals, ensuring a strong talent pipeline. Engaging actively with local business units, the Regional Manager identifies current and emerging talent, developing succession strategies and providing mentorship as needed. In close collaboration with the People & Culture team, they ensure that regional talent strategies align with broader business objectives, fostering a future-ready leadership bench.
  • Sales Strategist: The Regional Manager plays an instrumental role in crafting and executing a forward-looking regional sales strategy that prioritizes relationship building and positions the company for success in key accounts. Their deep sales expertise enables them to champion a high-performance sales culture within the organization. By spearheading executive-level strategies for "must-win" accounts, the Regional Manager drives regional sales momentum, implements top account strategies, and effectively communicates the company's value proposition to solidify its competitive advantage in the market.
  • Customer-Centric Leadership: An unwavering advocate for customer satisfaction, the Regional Manager instills customer centricity across all regional operations. They work alongside local teams to engage with key customers, fostering long-term relationships by deeply understanding their needs and driving loyalty and satisfaction. Using data-driven insights into market trends and customer dynamics, the Regional Manager supports branch managers in executing local sales strategies, targeting market expansion, and identifying high-value accounts. The Regional Manager's passion for customer interaction includes regular on-site visits, where they build indispensable relationships with key decision-makers and ensure the highest standards of service are maintained.
  • Market Expansion and Business Development: In pursuit of aggressive market share growth, the Regional Manager identifies and capitalizes on emerging markets and service offerings. Their strategic approach to business development is complemented by cultivating and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and competitors. They lead high-stakes negotiations for top-tier projects or partnerships, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. Additionally, the Regional Manager supports the President in mergers and acquisitions discussions, helping to strategically expand the region's geographic footprint.
  • Operational Excellence: The Regional Manager maintains a laser focus on operational efficiency and risk management. By identifying potential risks within the region and collaborating with Branch Managers to mitigate them, they ensure smooth operations. They enforce adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and internal controls, optimizing profitability and efficiency. Through active resource and cost management, the Regional Manager ensures the region consistently achieves financial targets, including positive cash flow and booked margins. They also intervene when necessary to resolve disputes, claims, or customer complaints, driving continuous improvement and ensuring optimal outcomes.
  • Hearts & Minds Leadership: Partnering with the Regional Safety Director, the Regional Manager fosters a culture of safety that prioritizes both regulatory compliance and internal safety standards. They work closely with Branch Managers and local leadership to ensure a proactive approach to safety, responding to both positive and negative safety incidents and holding teams accountable for implementing corrective actions. Their efforts in promoting a "Hearts & Minds" safety culture reduce risk and reinforce the company's commitment to safety excellence across the region.
  • Culture Stewardship: A key driver of regional culture, the Regional Manager is dedicated to building and nurturing a dynamic, values-driven environment characterized by collaboration, trust, and innovation. As a steward of the company's mission, vision, and values, they ensure that these principles are embedded in the daily operations of regional teams. The Regional Manager partners with local leadership and People & Culture to implement programs designed to elevate employee engagement, professional development, job satisfaction, and long-term retention, creating a high-performing workforce that thrives on continuous improvement and shared success.


What You Need...



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • 10 years of branch management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in effective collaboration and communication (both written and verbal).
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).
  • Capacity to leverage interpersonal skills to develop and enhance business relationships.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems, in terms of design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Strong financial expertise in the areas of planning, gross profit redemption, overhead control, and ROI.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time.

      Work Environment:



      • TThis position operates primarily in an office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets.
      • Work tasks may occasionally necessitate travel to local job sites, which means intermittent exposure to the conditions typically associated with a construction site.


      Physical Demands:



      • In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
