Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol - Full Time in Lakeland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, with awareness of varied working environments and conditions.
  • Help to monitor access to designated areas, check for unusual activity, and report maintenance, environmental, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Support a professional atmosphere by assisting with directions, visitor questions, and de-escalation of tense situations while following post orders and Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
