Human Resources Generalist - Entry Level

Kress is looking for a full-time entry-level HR Generalist to join our team in the development of specialized industrial equipment for steel, construction, and mining industries.

The HR Generalist will support day-to-day human resources operations within a well-established manufacturing environment. This role focuses on day-to-day HR duties, onboarding, employee relations support, and HR administrative functions while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations.

Responsibilities -
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires (orientation, paperwork, system setup)
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
  • Support employee relations by responding to basic employee inquiries and escalating issues as needed
  • Track attendance, timekeeping, and leave records in partnership with supervisors
  • Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment processes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and employment laws
  • Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the plant

Qualifications -
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of HR or administrative experience (manufacturing or industrial environment a plus)
  • Familiarity with HR processes such as onboarding, employee records, and compliance
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems preferred
