Description

The Corporate Director of Revenue Strategy successfully integrates the synergies between revenue, analysis, sales, integrated marketing, and distribution channels to drive profitability across the portfolio of hotels and team assignments. This role works closely with finance, operations, digital, and sales leaders when analyzing, formulating, and deploying various revenue and pricing initiatives. This remote-based role supports a portfolio of properties and will directly oversee revenue strategy for 1-2 hotels.\

This position is remote but must be based in the in the Mid-West United States.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:




    • Leverage practical management experience to set realistic goals and allocate suitable resources to achieve them.



    • Develop relationships with all leaders within Crescent, ownership groups, asset managers, operations, sales, digital, business development, and finance to create and execute yield-generating strategies, assess hotel offerings, and identify pricing opportunities.



    • Work with area and property leaders to maximize time spent with hotel teams to efficiently execute strategies.



    • Engage the integrated marketing and digital team to provide ideas and support for online distribution of strategies and creative assets for strategy optimization in the digital environment.



    • Support, coordinate, and implement all Crescent commercial fundamentals and best business practices.



    • Provide critical analysis of strategies, room statistics, and demand factors.



    • Travel to attend corporate meetings, brand meetings, and ownership meetings as needed.



    • Participate in weekly and monthly revenue management meetings to assist with strategy and forecasting.



    • Review data, reports, market conditions, and trends; evaluate and suggest revenue management strategies, ensuring follow-through as necessary.



    • Analyze and forecast demand, ensuring effective selling strategies, oversell strategies, and optimized market mix.



    • Monitor all distribution channels to ensure effective rate, inventory management, and pricing strategies in tandem with each hotel's assigned revenue manager.



    • Evaluate hotel-level forecasts to ensure accuracy and proactively adjust strategy where needed to mitigate losses or maximize gains.



    • Analyze displacement analyses to help revenue managers, directors of sales, and general managers make sound revenue decisions when accepting business.




    Metrics




    • Monitor performance and manage proper hotel metrics, including KPIs and index scorecards.



    • Develop and execute initiatives that increase revenue and market share.



    • Develop and utilize advanced analytical models that measure elasticity and yield opportunities.



    • Assess pricing strategies for ancillary offerings and total hotel revenues.



    • Effectively communicate company revenue management standards through property visits, remote auditing, training, and analysis of hotel revenue performance against established goals and forecasts.



    • Lead a team of revenue managers to drive property and regional performance, improve business processes, and manage high-profile strategic initiatives.



    • Train and coach property leaders on producing accurate revenue forecasts by market segment, including 30-, 60-, and 90-day forecasts on an ongoing basis.



    • Lower distribution costs across all channels, including CRO, GDS, Brand.com, and third-party channels.




    Leadership



    • The Corporate Director must display leadership skills that inspire and encourage staff to deliver the highest standard of revenue strategy and management. This role effectively promotes revenue generation across departments that may not have direct revenue responsibility, building a commercial revenue focus throughout the organization.


    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:




    • 5+ years of revenue and/or yield management experience is required.



    • Marriott OY Certified is required.



    • Experience with multi-brand and independent/soft-brand hotels is required.



    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to effectively gather, analyze, and utilize key data to support proposed initiatives.



    • Ability to build relationships with hotel teams, senior operations leaders, and ownership groups.



    • Willingness to travel as needed.
