Job Summary
The Senior Project Manager- New Power Generation Construction is responsible for the safe, compliant, and successful execution of a major workstream within a single mega project or full lifecycle ownership of a portfolio of multiple, complex capital projects. This role provides senior leadership across all phases of project delivery-initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout-by applying advanced project management practices to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Senior Project Manager is accountable for strategic planning, governance, risk management, budgeting, forecasting, and performance optimization, while leading crossfunctional teams and external partners. This position requires a high degree of independent judgment and serves as a primary point of accountability for project outcomes. This role relies on highly developed leadership, communication, and technical expertise, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate across engineering, project controls, supply chain, environmental, regulatory, strategy, accounting, operations, external engineering firms, contractors, municipalities, and regulatory agencies. The Senior Project Manager will operate as a proactive, solutionsoriented leader within an organization primarily focused on execution of new generation projects, as well as other large, complex infrastructure initiatives (e.g., synchronous condensers and similar assets).
Essential Functions
Provides endtoend leadership for complex capital projects or major project segments, from conceptual development through commissioning and turnover Establishes and governs scope, schedule, cost baselines, risk registers, and change management processes, ensuring disciplined performance tracking and corrective actions Accountable for project performance outcomes, including safety, quality, cost, schedule, and regulatory compliance Leads and mentors project managers, project specialists, and construction inspection resources; sets expectations and promotes consistent best practices Ensures safe, efficient, and highquality construction execution in compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements Partners with project controls to develop and maintain accurate budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and capital spend reporting Proactively manages project risks, issues, and dependencies across engineering, procurement, construction, and land services Serves as a senior liaison with external municipalities, local authorities, landowners, and regulatory bodies Oversees contractor performance, commercial administration, and contract compliance Ensures timely, accurate invoice review and approval, aligned with contract terms and budget controls Provides executivelevel project status reporting, including progress, risks, mitigation strategies, and financial performance Measures and drives project success defined by:
Zero serious safety incidents Completion within 5% of approved cost estimates Ontime delivery of key milestones No significant regulatory notices, violations, or citations
Supports continuous improvement efforts by identifying lessons learned and implementing process enhancements across the project portfolio
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field or equivalent experience (minimum 9 years total experience) 7-10+ years of progressive experience managing constructionrelated capital projects, including large, complex, or regulated infrastructure projects 5+ years of experience leading and managing pipeline construction contractors and field execution teams 5+ years of experience with project budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and capital governance Demonstrated knowledge and experience on managing capital projects/programs related to power generation and/or electric transmission Strong working knowledge of local, state, and federal operating and construction codes Advanced proficiency with project management and scheduling tools, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and construction management software Working knowledge of operations support systems (e.g., WMS or similar tools) Valid instate driver's license upon hire
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (PMI) Experience leading portions of or entire megaprojects or managing multiproject portfolios Demonstrated success influencing senior stakeholders and executive leadership

Salary Range*: $113,500.00 - $170,300.00
*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity. Posting Start Date: 2026-05-19
