Join our Military Aircraft Group as a Manufacturing Project Engineer, where you'll play a critical role in transitioning operations into our next-generation Advanced Integrated Manufacturing (AIM) facility. This is a high-visibility position that directly impacts production efficiency, cost performance, and long-term manufacturing strategy.

In this role, you will represent Shop Operations including Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Fabrication as both a Project Engineer and Cost Account Manager (CAM). You will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of transitioning production from the current facility to the new AIM facility.

This role is essential to ensuring a successful, on-time, and on-budget facility transition that will shape the future of our manufacturing capabilities.

As a Manufacturing Project Engineer, you will:

  • Plan and coordinate the relocation of machines, including the decommissioning of existing assets and installation of new equipment

  • Track and manage the transition of parts between facilities, including process prove-out timelines and completion

  • Develop and manage project budgets using Earned Value (EV) metrics; report on schedule and cost performance, including variances and re-baselines

  • Serve as Cost Account Manager (CAM), ensuring accurate time and expense charging while investigating and resolving budget discrepancies

  • Collaborate with design teams to prioritize and manage requests for models and drawings needed to support part transitions and prove-out activities

  • Collect and analyze legacy and new process data to evaluate performance improvements and quantify ROI from transition efforts

To be considered for this role, here's what you'll typically bring:

  • Bachelor's degree (technical degree not required)

  • 3+ years of experience in project engineering, manufacturing, operations, or a related field

  • Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, and PowerPoint

  • Experience working cross-functionally in a manufacturing or production environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to quickly learn and apply data tools for reporting and analysis

It'd be nice if you had:

  • Experience with JIRA and TeamCenter

  • Familiarity with Cost Account Management (CAM), budgeting, or Earned Value (EV) tracking

  • Experience building custom reports using SQL and/or Power BI

How We Care for You:

  • Financial Rewards: great compensation package, bonus opportunities, matching 401k, and the ability to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Plan (select locations), Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts

  • Work/Life Balance: Flexible paid time off, holidays and parental leave program, relocation assistance.

  • Health & Welfare: Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, Employee Assistance Plan ("EAP") and other supplemental benefit coverages.
