TITLE: Mixing Operator - Third Shift

LOCATION: Onsite in Avon, Ohio

SHIFT & HOURS: Sunday - Thursday, 9:00PM - 5:30AM (Friday Overtime as needed)

Hiring Hourly Rate: $21.36/hr. (plus $2.00 Shift Differential)

Custom Culinary, a subsidiary of Griffith Foods, is hiring a Mixing Operator to join our Production Team. The Mixing Operator is responsible for the safe operation and loading of mixing equipment and for operating, setting up, and troubleshooting production equipment in accordance with company quality, safety, and regulatory standards (Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, Critical Control Point, and Griffith Production System).

As a Mixing Operator your responsibilities will include:

  • Ability to safelyoperateproductionequipment.

  • Verify and ensureaccuratecounts of raw materials needed to produce a blended product.

  • Addition of raw materials to the blender following the manufacturing sequence on the formula.

  • Operating multiple kettles and hydraulic systems to discharge blended product from the blender through the prescribed screen size byoperatingthe touchscreen controlsProgrammable Logic Controller (PLC) kettles.

  • Setting up product transfer pathways,operatingdiaphragmpumps,andoperatinga Clean-In-Place (CIP) system.

  • Supporting BritishRetailConsortium (BRC) audit requirements, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and legal standards.

  • Following specified customer sampling requirementsofblended product.

  • Filling out of daily schedule control to document production, quality, and performance.

  • Cleaning and sanitizing theproductionequipmentand tools,includingworkarea.

  • Disposal of trash and garbage containers.

  • Ability to safelylift upto 65lbsregularly throughout theshift

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Ability toregularly lift and/or carry up to65poundsthroughout the shift

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently,including the ability to read andcomprehendinstructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; and the ability to communicate with individuals and small groups.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Workingknowledge ofEnterprise Resources Planning systems such asMicrosoft Dynamics AXorRedZoneor similar.

  • Working overtime as needed throughout the week, up to and including Saturday work.

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods during the shift

  • Comfortable working with and around allergens andcleaningchemicals

  • Must be able to work onsite inAvon, Ohiolocation

Candidates must currentlybe at least 18 years of age ANDpossessunrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

What will set you apart:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • 3months' experience and/or trainingin aUSDA regulatedmanufacturing environment

  • Experienceoperatingmixing or blending equipment.

  • Familiarity with food safety requirements.

  • Working knowledge ofMicrosoft Dynamics AX and RedZoneERPsoftware.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee isfrequentlyrequired to sit,standand walk to communicate and listen effectively. This will require both office and plant environments. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds. Safely navigate stairs and ladders.

Environmental Concerns:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed towet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud; hearing protection isrequiredin designated areas. Dust and odor present inenvironment.

2 Year Earning Potential Based onPerformance

  • 6 Months - $22.10/hr.

  • 12 Months-$22.80/hr.

  • 24 Months- $23.56/hr.
