Are you a highly organized and empathetic individual with a passion for healthcare administration? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join a bustling outpatient clinical setting, where you will be the welcoming face and efficient backbone of daily operations. In this pivotal role, you will ensure a seamless experience for patients from their initial contact through their appointments, directly contributing to the efficiency and positive atmosphere of the clinic. Your work will have a tangible impact, helping patients navigate their care journey with ease and supporting medical providers in delivering top-tier service.

What You Will Do:



  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations, check-ins, and check-outs.
  • Warmly greet and assist patients with inquiries regarding appointments, payments, and schedules.
  • Efficiently manage a multi-line phone system, screening and routing calls, and taking messages for clinical staff and physicians.
  • Ensure all necessary verifications and authorizations are complete before patients see their providers.
  • Collaborate with providers to align on scheduling preferences and respond effectively to urgent patient needs.
  • Provide essential patient support using available reference documents and tools.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including maintaining information and paging directory databases, and processing internal forms.
  • Utilize telephone systems and electronic medical records systems proficiently to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Consistently meet or exceed organizational and departmental service standards.
  • Address non-clinical patient inquiries and messages, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Manage and distribute faxes, mail, and clinic-specific documentation.


Must-Have Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with computer systems and software used in administrative functions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, appropriate for a professional healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service, solve problems efficiently, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based office software, computers, and operating systems.
  • Adept at adjusting communication styles to suit the needs and understanding of diverse individuals.
  • Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in stressful situations.


The target hiring compensation range for this role is $35.81 - $38.96 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
