What to Expect
As a Technical Operations Associate Manager, you will have the critical task of managing the priorities and tasks of the Engineering Technician Team. Your experience in fast-paced production lines as well as strong industrial and/or mechanical engineering will make you an ideal candidate for this role. You have a passion for employee development and enjoy the process of training and developing the next generation of engineers. You are very hands-on, energetic, and have a capacity to think critically on many different complicated processes. Your proven ability to collaborate with employees, peers, and managers is one of your key strengths for success.

What You'll Do
  • Perform Takt time assessments, line balancing acts, value-stream mapping and cause and effect diagrams to identify areas for improvement
  • Apply 6- Sigma, Kaizen, Lean, value analysis, and value engineering tools to implement continuous improvement practices
  • Implement industrial engineering and lean manufacturing practices to deliver the project savings, quality, safety, and productivity improvements required by leadership
  • Work with shift managers and other production supervisors daily to create priorities
  • Work with cross-functional teams including Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering and Maintenance teams to support on-going projects
  • Manage a team of degreed engineering technicians responsible for measuring, analyzing, improving, and controlling projects processes

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering experience
  • 3+ years managing teams of people in a production environment
  • Extensive detailed analysis experience to make data-driven decisions and summarize results for executives
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Mehcanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of 5S, lean manufacturing and 6-Sigma principles (6-sigma certification preferred)
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrain
  • Ability to verbally communicate with the team
  • Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, or hearing
  • Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: PAPR, safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
