What to Expect
Tesla is looking for highly motivated Engineering Technicians to lead and support cell electrode manufacturing engineering, root cause analysis, process development, and data analysis in manufacturing environments for Cell Manufacturing.
What You'll Do
- Support all aspects of operations in Fremont, including process development, part assembly, tool organization, and cleaning
- Work closely with engineers to resolve manufacturing issues, improve processes, and establish procedures ensuring high quality and efficiency
- Identify and resolve manufacturing quality issues, perform root cause analysis with hands-on characterization, implement corrective actions, and maintain quality performance metrics
- Draft and maintain process documentation, quality plans, control plans, and support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to enhance production processes, specifications, and training programs
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to ensure products meet quality and efficiency standards
What You'll Bring
- Strong willingness to learn and apply advanced manufacturing techniques
- Proficiency in hands-on manufacturing tasks and tools with experience in roll-to-roll processing or powder handling preferred
- Hands-on experience with web handling in a manufacturing environment
- Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping, organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for tool operation
- Proficient in computer operations and standard software with experience in JMP, SQL, Python, MATLAB, or R considered a plus
- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and wear respirators or PAPR while working on the manufacturing line

Expected Compensation
$33.60 - $56.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
