Location: Elma, NY.
Employment: Contract (6 months)
Industry: Aerospace and Defense
Compensation: $ 21.50-$23.00/hour
Schedule: 40.00 hours /week
About the Opportunity:
  • Perform various complex machining or precision assembly and preparation operations on a wide variety of complex electro-mechanical components, assemblies and systems.
  • Machining operations utilizes a variety of complex measurement equipment and may include specialized fixtures and gages.
  • The complex machining may include processes such as: milling, turning, grinding, deburring, EDM, finishing, honing, fit, mill-turning and various other fabrication processes.

What You'll Do:
  • Assembly activity utilizes a variety of mechanical and electronic measurement equipment and specialized fixtures, tooling, gauging and torque mechanisms to obtain desired build requirements.
  • The individual is required to work from drawings, work instructions, parts lists or other instruction and provide detailed written communication defining performance results or situational circumstances.
  • Test operations include setting up and performing operational tests of finished products on high precision test stands.
  • This activity requires the use of hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic test equipment, fixtures and tools to obtain desired performance results.
  • The positions are required to diagnose test failures and assess hardware condition to provide recommended rework instruction and configuration changes to achieve desired results.
  • The incumbent is trained or certified in various processes, which support product delivery.
  • Support processes include, but are not limited to, Final Inspection, Shipping, Repair Processing, Receiving Inspection, Source Inspection, Machining Operations and Repairman Certification or other regulatory administrative requirement.
  • The incumbents will be capable of performing one or more of these processes to reduce product cycle time and improve delivery performance.
  • Additional support processes may include Welding, Non-Destructive Inspection, Laser Engrave, EDM and other processes determined necessary to facilitate efficiency improvements.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in Deburrer /finisher
  • 2+ years of experience in Mechanical Aptitude

  • Ability to work well in both team and solo environments
  • Attention to detail
  • must be able to pay attention to details and work with small parts
  • Self-driven
  • Ability to use and work under a microscope for long periods of time
  • Ability to use hand tools and follow written instructions.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Complex assembly experience
