Responsibilities:

*Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations, including quality control, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
*Implements strategies and programs to deliver modern and innovative technologies and services and to enhance the level of care available to patients.
*Manage the subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
*Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budget.
*Oversees and assists Central Monitoring Unit (CMU) Manager with ordering, purchase orders, and budgets.
*Has full authority for personnel actions.
*Extensive knowledge of department processes for Monitoring and EKG.
*Provides 24/7 on-call support for Central Monitoring support.
*Interviews and selects team members. Coaches, mentors, and implements disciplinary processes when indicated. Prepares evaluations and prepares development plans for team members to ensure growth.
*Prepares work schedules, assigns personnel, evaluates work performance, and makes recommendations for personnel actions.
*Assists CMU Manager and Director in preparing Capital Requests for Clinical equipment.
*Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
*Organizes, directs, and coordinates functions and activities in assigned area
* Directs maintenance of patient care, equipment, supplies, and materials in a condition to promote efficiency, health, comfort, and safety of patients and staff
*Adjusts staffing to meet needs and to provide adequate coverage of clinical area.
*Help write processes and policies to ensure compliance.
*Inspects areas daily for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and standards and takes corrective action when violations occur.
*Assists in updating procedures and other processes for Monitoring Technician.
*Ensures adequate stock of supplies and proper function of equipment.
*Work with Bio-Med team to ensure Monitoring systems are operational.
*Work with IT team to ensure the GE Muse system is operational.
*Planning and coordinating organizational change
*Educating employees, customers and transferring knowledge.
*Perform other function

Qualifications:

*Associate degree, 3 years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
*2 years Cardiac Telemetry Monitoring experience required
*5 years of clinical/technical experience preferred
*BLS required at time of hire.
*Microsoft office, GE Muse. Philips Monitoring System, Pacer Interrogation Devices
*Communicate effectively in person and via telephone with members, employer groups
