Department Overview

Gas Operations oversees the natural gas transmission and distribution operations. The teammaintains and operates 6,700 miles of gas transmission pipeline, 43,000 miles of distribution main, 3.6 million gas services, three PG&E-owned storage facilities with 102 BCF capacity, nine compressor stations with 175K HP, and 5,000 measurement and control facilities. Gas Operations is comprised of approximately 6,000 coworkers.

Position Summary

Performs engineering work in support of transmission or distribution operations, production, construction and/or maintenance functions within Gas Operations. Identifies, diagnoses and solves technical problems. Ensures the timely, thorough, and accurate completion of all engineering services work and projects. Prepares new or modified designs. Creates and maintains company standards for area of focus. Contributes to Gas Safety Excellence goals by improving safety, reliability and affordability through engineering related work and activities.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of thejob posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will bebased on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience,market value, geographic location, and internal equity.Although we estimatethe successful candidate hiredinto this rolewill be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decisionwill be made on a case-by-casebasis related tothese factors.

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $122,000

Bay Area Maximum: $194,000

California Minimum: $116,000

California Maximum: $184,000

Job Responsibilities

• Performs engineering work of moderate scope and complexity selecting from different tools, methods, approaches and tactics to resolve problems and obtain solutions
• Develops knowledge in other areas of specialty/discipline or continues to focus on one area and increases depth of knowledge.
• Manager assigns work and projects providing guidance when requested and reviewing progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Job-related experience, 3 years

Desired:

• Experience in gas distribution industry, job-related
• Experience in gas transmission, or related
• EIT-Engineer in Training certification
• PE-Professional Engineer license
