Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms, with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking an Engagement & Communications Manager. Reporting to the Director of Knowledge Solutions Operations and Engagement, the Engagement and Communications Manager will be responsible for building short- and long-term roadmaps for project and product lifecycle at the firm. This role will develop and design communications and procedures, implementation processes, and adoption efforts delivered by the Knowledge Management department.The Engagement and Communications Manager will work closely with the project management and product teams, and will interface with all levels of the firm, practice groups, and office management to initiate Change Management strategies to optimize engagement.

This position will reside in our Philadelphia office with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the project management and product teams and interface with all levels of the firm, practice groups, and office management to initiate Change Management strategies to optimize engagement.

  • Own end-to-end adoption outcomes for major initiatives by defining and driving the full engagement strategy across stakeholder alignment, change impact assessment, communications, and enablement.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive stakeholder strategy, including segmentation, influence aping, sponsor alignment, and targeted engagement plans for impacted user groups.

  • Define and implement communication gating and sequencing for strategic messaging.

  • Design role-based training and enablement pathways aligned to desired behaviors, business processes, and user journeys.

  • Establish adoption success criteria and KPIs, aligned with product and business stakeholders. Manage KPIs and document results.

  • Own post-launch adoption performance, including monitoring leading indicators, diagnosing gaps, and driving targeted remediation actions.

  • Build and foster relationships with all key institutional players; advocate for the client with cross-functional teams.

  • Support executive communications around project adoption successes and solution-based opportunities in comparison to desired KPIs and outcomes.

  • Establishes/adheres to Department budget; seeks opportunities to improve Department efficiency and reduce expenses by streamlining operations.

  • The incumbent of this job directly supervises non-supervisory employees including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems all in accordance with the firm's policies and applicable laws.

  • Lead by example; establishes clear expectations; sets direction and priorities; ensures that work levels are balanced among all staff; resolves internal staff issues in a timely manner; keeps staff informed of all appropriate information; builds effective team; delegates at appropriate level.

  • Facilitates the development of staff by providing feedback; regularly coaches, evaluates, and recognizes staff performance and accomplishments.

Experience and qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.

  • A minimum of 7 years of communications and engagement experience in a professional services organization, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in sustainability, change management, or service efforts. Familiarity with Legal industry desired.

  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives to implementation.

  • Independent and self-motivated thinker with the ability to objective and a task plan and drive progress without supervision.

  • Strategic business focus and understanding; client focused perspective.

  • Strong knowledge of project concepts (RACI, AGILE, SCRUM).

  • Sustainability industry benchmarking experience

  • Experience in third party relationship management

  • Collaborator with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Strategic project management skills including organizational and problem solving

  • Technical skills such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, PowerBI, JIRA/Confluence
