GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the general guidance of the Neurosurgeon and the APP Manager, the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions following department-approved practice guidelines. The Advanced Practice Provider will join a busy, high acuity Neurosurgery service providing full coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. The employee will staff 13-hour shifts 6a-7pm or 6pm-7am. Weekends required. Future scheduling needs, including potential increased weekend frequency or call, may be adjusted based on patient care needs, program growth, and operational priorities. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of neurosurgery experience and is eager to practice at the top of their license within a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Background in neurology, medicine, or ICU would also be strongly considered.
