The Field Supervisor will oversee and enforce quality, safety, and operational standards across installation crews and contractor teams in the field. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end project execution - from pre-inspection and material coordination through installation oversight and final post-inspection documentation. The Field Supervisor serves as the primary point of contact between field crews, clients, and internal teams, ensuring all work is completed on time, within scope, and in full compliance with program requirements. A strong background in HVAC, plumbing, lighting and electrical systems is essential, along with a working knowledge of building mechanical systems and how they interact across commercial and residential environments. The ideal candidate brings hands-on field experience across multiple trades, the ability to problem-solve on-site, coordinate special equipment needs, price jobs accurately, and maintain detailed tracking and reporting for monthly revenue goals. The Field Supervisor will travel up to 80% of the time throughout New York City and Long Island, and will report into the Maspeth office when not on-site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordination of subcontractors in multiple locations.
  • Oversite of quality control for all installations performed by field staff including building codes and safety requirements.
  • Inspect and analyze building envelope, HVAC systems, heating systems, electrical, plumbing and all other aspects of building characteristics that may be considered for Commercial and Residential improvement, with an emphasis on energy efficiency.
  • Develop and read energy audit reports as well as corresponding scopes of work for energy efficiency retrofits with savings to investment ratios.
  • Assist with smooth and orderly administration of programs with timeliness of completing paperwork, maintaining client files, data entry, and phone calls.
  • Observe work performed for compliance and assure all work is accomplished which includes accessing attics and crawlspaces.
  • Perform inspections of work completed by contractors to ensure quality and completion.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of all lighting materials, conduct pre- and post-inspections (on-site and video), coordinate special equipment needs, track monthly installations for revenue reporting, and oversee DOB inspections and service calls.
  • Partner with sales to accurately price jobs based on site conditions (Local Law, access issues, violations), resolve on-site challenges with contractors and clients, adjust work scopes as needed, and prepare all spec sheets and documents required for final program inspection.
  • Utilize knowledge of International Mechanical and Building Codes.
  • Attend training to obtain certification requirements, learn new innovative technology and incorporate new methods in our delivery of weatherization services.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of lighting and electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, operation including HVAC systems and refrigeration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Energy Management Engineering & System Technology, or closely related field experience.
  • Strong customer service orientation, with extensive experience in effectively addressing and resolving issues.
  • Ability to proactively monitor and adjust activities to respond to changing circumstances and priorities to meet goals, proactively address issues as they arise and mitigate risks associated to events.
  • Must be able to relate to and communicate effectively with construction, HVAC, plumbing and heating, and other construction trade personnel.
  • Must be available for some client-required evening or weekend appointments.
  • OSHA 30 certification at minimum.
  • Computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Access, Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders while delivering excellent customer service in a highly dynamic growth environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, evolving, entrepreneurial work environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time on-site to NYC and Long Island. Travel may include various means of transportation including automobiles, public transportation, rail.
