Health, Counseling, DAS Job Description
Health, Counseling, and Disability Access Services seeks an experienced mental health therapist to work with a student population presenting with a wide range of clinical needs and to contribute to the ongoing enhancement of services for all students. Primary responsibilities include providing individual and group counseling/therapy. Counseling staff also participate in additional clinical functions such as outreach, access coordination, and community engagement. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience working with all populations. Additional duties include crisis intervention, consultation, and potential supervision of clinical graduate interns. The position carries specific responsibilities for leading, developing, and promoting group therapy offerings. This role is intended for a professional committed to the mission and work of university counseling centers and interested in contributing to a collaborative, multidisciplinary staff. The successful candidate will value an integrated approach that includes clinical service delivery, training, campus consultation, prevention and early intervention efforts, and collaborative campus relationships. Desired qualities include strong communication skills, a collaborative working style, effective self-care and boundary management, and the ability to manage workload demands while contributing to a positive and professional work environment. 40 hours/week, 8-5 Monday-Friday Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work and relevant licensure (or eligible to be licensed within 12 months) within the State of Missouri. Preferred Qualifications
Post-degree experience in providing mental health treatment. Experience promoting, developing, and maintaining group therapy. University counseling center experience. Desirable skills include interest and experience in utilizing a brief therapy model, crisis intervention, hospitalization experience, and work with more complex cases. Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $56,000-$66,000 Application Materials
