Senior Manager, M&A Integration - JLL

Location: Chicago - Hybrid

What this job involves:

As Senior Manager of M&A Integration, you'll serve as the operational quarterback for JLL's acquisition integrations, transforming deal strategy into seamless execution. Working closely with the Director of Integration, you'll own the end-to-end integration lifecycle-from pre-close planning through post-close value realization. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring you to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage complex workstreams, and ensure acquired businesses integrate smoothly without service disruption. You'll build the playbooks, drive accountability, and track the metrics that turn acquisitions into strategic wins. If you thrive in fast-paced environments where your ability to orchestrate, problem-solve, and deliver measurable results directly impacts JLL's growth trajectory, this role offers significant visibility and impact across the organization.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Translate pre-close diligence findings into comprehensive integration roadmaps, defining clear milestones, ownership assignments, and execution timelines spanning from Day 1 through 12-24 months post-close while maintaining alignment with deal objectives and value creation targets.
  • Lead cross-functional integration workstreams across operations, finance, HR, technology, and commercial teams, establishing clear accountability frameworks, facilitating decision-making forums, and driving execution velocity through structured project management and stakeholder coordination.
  • Execute critical Day 1 integration activities including data migration, system onboarding, corporate account establishment, insurance transitions, title transfers, and technology platform integration to ensure operational continuity and zero service disruption.
  • Build, maintain, and continuously refine integration playbooks, templates, standard operating procedures, and tracking systems that capture lessons learned and improve the speed, quality, and consistency of future integrations.
  • Monitor and report on integration performance through comprehensive KPI tracking including client retention rates, revenue continuity metrics, synergy realization progress, cost savings achievement, and operational milestone completion, providing executive visibility into integration health.
  • Identify and proactively resolve integration risks, organizational resistance, cross-functional conflicts, and execution roadblocks through change management initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and rapid problem-solving to keep integrations on track.
  • Partner with operational leaders to standardize processes, quality expectations, reporting systems, and safety procedures across newly integrated businesses while supporting cultural alignment and employee engagement throughout the transition.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in M&A integration, corporate development, management consulting, or related strategic program management roles with demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple concurrent integration workstreams with competing priorities, tight deadlines, and diverse stakeholder groups while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and organizational rigor.
  • Strong project management capabilities including demonstrated proficiency with integration tracking tools, project management software, and creating structured frameworks for complex initiatives spanning multiple functions and timelines.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders, build consensus across functions, facilitate productive meetings, and drive accountability without direct reporting authority.
  • Analytical mindset with experience translating strategic objectives into actionable plans, defining measurable KPIs, tracking synergy realization, and presenting integration performance data to executive audiences.
  • Change management experience supporting organizational transitions, cultural integration, policy alignment, and employee engagement during periods of significant business transformation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in commercial real estate, facilities management, property services, or related industries with understanding of operational models, client relationships, and service delivery frameworks.
  • Familiarity with technology system integrations including ERP platforms, CRM systems, HRIS applications, and data migration methodologies.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential demonstrating formal training in structured project delivery methodologies.
  • Prior experience in corporate development or transaction support roles providing exposure to deal diligence, valuation analysis, and investment thesis development.
  • Background in operations, finance, or HR functions providing practical understanding of functional integration challenges and requirements.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments, building structure and process where none exists while adapting quickly to changing priorities and information.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with track record of partnering effectively with operations teams, fostering collaboration, and maintaining productive working relationships during high-pressure situations.
