Position Summary

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist will help with growth and development of Customer Value Agreements (CVA's). The person in this position will work closely with our CVA team, sales, and service departments on providing CVA quotes in a timely manner. This individual will work daily to monitor Preventive Maintenance Agreements and Total Maintenance and Repair contracts (TM&R) to ensure positive contract health. The Equipment Maintenance Specialist will create and monitor budget templates, produce schedules, generate reports, and resolve opportunities. This person will assist in fact-finding and developing Non-Cat planned maintenance prices and planned maintenance prices for all new products offered by Thompson. He/she will be required to prepare and make presentations to general management and customers as needed.

Essential Responsibilities & Expectations


  • Work closely with Caterpillar on rate development and contract audits
  • Develop and establish consistent processes to support all CVA offerings in pricing and development
  • Create CVA product offerings for our EM and PM divisions
  • Work closely with sales (Equipment and Product Support) to develop solutions to meet customer requests/needs
  • Communicate w/customers, create solutions then present to individuals or in a group environment
  • Develop product offerings to fulfill customer needs
  • Communicate with internal personnel
  • Practice Condition Monitoring methods and provide fleet management solutions to our customers


Qualifications

Education



  • High School Diploma or the equivalent required.


Experience


  • Must possess strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of Thompson parts system, and have good communication skills.
  • Experience using personal computers including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and basic typing skills are required for this position.
