About the Role:

The Maintenance Worker Lead B plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of facility equipment and infrastructure across various sites within the United States. This position involves leading a team of maintenance workers to perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards. The role requires coordinating with other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and manage resources effectively. The Maintenance Worker Lead B is responsible for troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and structural issues, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Ultimately, this position aims to enhance operational efficiency, extend the lifespan of assets, and provide a safe and functional environment for all facility users.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance work, including mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proven experience in a lead or supervisory role within a maintenance team.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to train and mentor team members.
  • Experience working in a large-scale industrial or commercial facility environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of maintenance workers in daily maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and structural systems to identify and address potential issues.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize work orders based on urgency and operational impact.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions, utilizing technical manuals and diagnostic tools to resolve complex problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and equipment status to support reporting and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards during all maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support facility projects and improvements.
