Structural Strength Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering Technician III LOCATION:Huntsville, AL JOB STATUS:Full-time CLEARANCE: N/A CERTIFICATION: N/A TRAVEL:As Needed Astrion is seeking a Structural Strength Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering Technician level III. This position supports the METTS III contract at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. It involves supporting NASA's Structural Strength Test Branch, as well as contractor personnel, in research and development, configuration, and maintenance of test article systems and testing infrastructure. This role provides semi-professional technical support to engineers and requires a working knowledge of science or engineering principles. The position receives direction from the Department Manager and Team Leads. This position is for first shift working 4-10 schedule 6:00am - 4:30pm Mondays through Thursdays. This position is subject to random drug testing. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS: * Some practical knowledge of science or engineering Education: DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS: * Associate degree or High School diploma and/or 3 years equivalent technical experience Essential Job Functions: RESPONSIBILITIES: Structural Strength Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering Technician Level III duties include, but are not limited to: * Instrumentation applications, data collection and analysis, network maintenance, electrical assembly, soldering, crimping, fabricating various types of cables/connectors.
