Title: Maintenance Sanitation Technician
Salary Range: $24.57 Status: Non-Exempt Days/Shifts: 1st Shift Location: Bessemer City, NC Reports to: Sanitation Manager GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE: This position involves cleaning and sanitizing the Fan Coil Units and designated areas within the production department, in accordance with the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Additionally, the role requires ensuring that the sanitation Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) is completed on time, following the required Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP). Employees may be required to disassemble and reassemble equipment, and it is essential that they work safely while using chemicals. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS / DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is conducted in a cool environment with an average temperature of 34 degrees Fahrenheit. Concentrated chlorine and concealed ammonia are present in the area. Work surfaces and floors may be wet. Employees are required to wear approved shoes and protective equipment. Employees must be able to lift 40 pounds unassisted for up to one-third of the workday, and 6 pounds overhead as job demands dictate. Constant standing on a concrete floor, along with reaching, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand movements, may be required. Additionally, moving machinery, including conveyors and forklifts, operates in the immediate vicinity. WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: The position requires the ability to work overtime, and some weekend work may be necessary.
