Materials and Logistics Manager

TLD America
United States, Wisconsin, Eau Claire
2021 Truax Boulevard (Show on map)
Apr 29, 2026

Are you ready to take ownership of a critical role at the heart of an industrial site, where your decisions directly shape factory performance, customer satisfaction, and the bottom line? Join TLD, the global leader in Ground Support Equipment for the aviation industry, and become a key member of our Factory Steering Committee.

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and sitting on the Factory Steering Committee, you will lead the entire sourcing, procurement, planning and warehousing scope of the site. Your mission is to drive operational efficiency, product quality, working capital optimization and financial performance.

Concretely, you will:

  • Lead the materials team (procurement, planning, warehouse) - recruiting, developing and coaching your people, setting individual objectives and conducting annual appraisals.
  • Deploy the Group purchasing strategy at site level: select and develop suppliers, negotiate contracts, drive cost reduction, and support the localization of supplies in close partnership with the Group Sourcing Team.
  • Run the monthly S&OP and inventory & cost reduction meetings, ensuring a reliable lead-time commitment to customers and the right inventory level.
  • Optimize working capital through faster inbound/outbound flows, supplier logistics contracts, shorter component lead-times and negotiated payment terms.
  • Steer warehouse performance - productivity, inventory accuracy, safety of material handling operations, freight cost (FIR) and relationships with freight forwarders and 3PLs.
  • Secure compliance with customs regulations, export control rules (EU, US, local) and the TLD Code of Ethics, including ESG and Vendor Code requirements.
  • Drive supplier quality alongside the Quality Manager: audits, classification, NCR/SCAR processes, claims and continuous improvement projects.
  • Monitor and report performance through KPIs (OTDP, inventory accuracy and level, PPV, SIM, warehouse KPIs, FIR) and prepare the department's annual budget.
The Profile We Are Looking For
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Administration (Bac +5 / University graduate).
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement or Materials Management in an international industrial environment, ideally with team management exposure.
  • Solid command of ERP / MRP systems and a structured, data-driven mindset.
  • Proven negotiation skills and the ability to build long-term partnerships with suppliers.
  • A natural team leader: organized, hands-on, comfortable on the shop floor and in cross-functional settings (Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Group Sourcing).
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential; any additional language is an asset.
  • Energy, curiosity and a "make-things-happen" attitude - you enjoy juggling multiple topics, irregular operational tempo and tight deadlines.
Your Place in the Organization

You report directly to the Chief Operating Officer of the site and you are a full member of the Factory Steering Committee, alongside Production, Quality, Engineering, HR and Finance leaders. You manage a multidisciplinary team covering procurement, planning and warehouse operations, and you work hand-in-hand with the Group Sourcing Team and the sister TLD factories worldwide. Hierarchy at TLD is short and accessible: every level of responsibility is within reach, and your voice counts in the decisions that shape the factory's future.

Why You'll Want to Apply

This is a role for people who want to see the impact of their work - on the factory floor, on the P&L, and on customers around the globe. You'll join an entrepreneurial environment where initiative is rewarded, where experienced colleagues and new talents work side by side, and where international mobility is a real possibility for those who want to grow. If you are looking for a position with breadth, autonomy and tangible results - and you want to contribute to the decarbonization of the aviation industry while you're at it - we'd love to hear from you.
