TSC is seeking qualified Inventory Control Analyst to support our Huntsville, AL location (Discovery). The successful candidate will have experience with expediting flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules. The role of Inventory Control Analyst will initiating the cycle count schedule, ensuring the cycle counts are being completed on-time and root cause analysis is being conducted prior to adjusting inventory. The Inventory Control Analyst will be responsible for working with production planners and manufacturing engineers to ensure inventory availability, meeting both near- and long-term production needs. Candidate must be a self-motivated, solutions oriented and capable of completing duties under general supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory of multiple projects.
  • Track and analyze inventory levels, product demand, and stock turnover to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid overstock or stockouts.
  • Prepare and present inventory reports to management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory, and suggest process improvements to lower carrying costs.
  • Performs physical inventory checks as directed by manufacturing team.
  • Works with production planner and manufacturing engineer to manage inventory levels.
  • Responsible for keeping inventory area clean and organized.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and 2-5 years of inventory and/or supply chain related experience
  • Employee may frequently be required to lift, stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls as well as required to reach with hands and arms
  • The employee must have the ability lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High level of attention to detail
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in communication and organization
  • Skilled in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in domestic and international shipping, including parcel and freight services
  • Familiar with low volume manufacturing environments
  • Skilled in handling delicate electronics
  • Proficient in reading engineering Bills of Materials
