Job Summary: Administers and monitors programs for compliance with laws, regulations and rules governing operations and product offerings. Helps to ensure adequate policies and procedures for compliance exist and work effectively and efficiently for all Minnwest Subsidiaries. Prepares and submits selected regulatory compliance reports for all subsidiaries. Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Compliance Program Administration:
- Assist in administering and monitoring a program that ensures Minnwest's compliance with law, regulations, and rules governing banking and related interests.
- Research federal and state banking and insurance laws and regulations, review the corporation's policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.
- Assist in providing detailed instructions to all subsidiaries describing procedures to follow.
- Participate in projects, as assigned, to provide compliance guidance for product and service changes including new product rollout.
- Prepare, complete and submit regulatory mandated reporting.
- Assist in the completion of all regulatory exams.
- Compliance Review and Audit:
- Formulate practical review functions to be incorporated into operational procedures, resulting in safety, soundness, regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
- Assist in completion of annual mortgage division review & training plan development and execution.
- Periodically review compliance practices in the banks and other subsidiaries to identify weaknesses and provides suggestions for corrective action.
- Assist the internal auditors in developing an annual risk-based compliance audit ensuring that those areas with greatest potential risk receive appropriate audit attention.
- Evaluate all marketing material, new product development, and disclosures and advertisements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in preparation of periodic compliance reports to the Management Committee and Minnwest Corporation's Board of Directors.
- Review, interpret and provide assistance to managers in developing responses to exam or audit findings.
- Compliance Communication and Training: Development and delivery of annual and periodic training content, ensuring compliance topics are covered in Standard Operating Procedures, review compliance education offered to and completed by the bank and other subsidiary personnel.
- Other: Maintain knowledge and understanding of Minnwest Corporation and its subsidiaries business. Uhold employment guidelines/ Perform all duties in compliance iwht policy, procedure and process
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.), preferably business related
- 5+ years bank compliance experience
- Certifications to include CBAP, CCBCO, CRCM or comparable certification
- Thorough banking and compliance knowledge
- Experience in interpreting and applying state, federal, and agency legal and regulatory compliance requirements
- Secondary Market mortgage knowledge
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and organize priorities
- Develops and maintains knowledge of compliance and internal control requirements necessary to complete the job
- Ability to interpret regulations and translate for other staff, considering and acknowledging impact across all areas of the business
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bank auditing experience
- Bank compliance examination experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience with Fiserv Premier
Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Workplace Environment:
- Requires face-to-face interaction and coordination of work with other employees and departments, and in-person interaction.
- Working at a computer and utilizing a telephone
- Occasionally lifting up to 50lbs
Salary Range: $103,000 - $128,750 annually + bonus opportunity The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. The salary range represents anticipated base pay for this role. The actual pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary based on factors including but not limited to work location, candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
