About the Opportunity:

The Finance Manager reports to the Controller for Whitesboro and Cleveland and supports the site's financial strategy and performance. This role serves as a key business partner to the General Manager, leading and supporting initiatives such as business transformation, diligence, and integration efforts, with a focus on expanding margins and improving cash flow. The position will also have one direct report to support analysis and day-to-day financial work.

Location: Cleveland, OH

The role is primarily onsite, with up to 25% travel required.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Controller in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of all financial transactions, planning, and reporting activities for the site, ensuring compliance with corporate policy, tax regulations, and U.S. GAAP.
  • Assists in leading the month-end and year-end close process, driving timely completion of reconciliations and delivering accurate financial results in alignment with corporate deadlines.
  • Partners with the Controller and site leadership to develop and execute the site's annual operating plan, budgets, and forecasts in coordination with corporate FP&A.
  • Works closely with site leadership to translate operational performance into financial outcomes, enabling data-driven decisions that improve profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Supports the preparation and analysis of internal and external financial reports, including monthly P&L statements, variance analysis, board reporting, and annual audit activities.
  • Promotes a culture of strong internal controls and continuous improvement, helping to identify and mitigate risks while enhancing financial processes.
  • Provides financial insights to the General Manager and site leadership team, highlighting performance trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborates with corporate finance, external auditors, and banking partners to ensure alignment and compliance with financial and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists with cash flow forecasting and cash management efforts, helping to monitor and optimize the site's liquidity and working capital.
  • Supports the financial treatment and analysis of complex transactions, including inventory, capital projects, and government contracts, ensuring proper accounting and documentation.
  • Contributes to executive-level presentations by developing clear and compelling financial analyses aligned with operational and strategic priorities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or 7+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in accounting, finance or business
  • Experience with Qlik BI or other BI tools
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Hyperion Planning knowledge preferred
  • Advanced financial modeling skills
  • Strong analytical skills - demonstrated ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and develop actionable recommendations
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), pertaining to indirect rate structures and allowability of cost
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and lead teams
  • Ability to communicate and present effectively to senior leadership team
  • Ability to work with team members in a hands-on capacity
  • Ability to read and interpret financial and accounting documents and reports
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
  • Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
