Responsible for processing gifts and maintaining accurate donor records for the Office of Philanthropy.

I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Records contributions in Raiser's Edge, including but not limited to cash, credit card gifts, stock gifts, checks, matching gifts, pledges and pledge payments.
2. Adds and updates constituent records as needed.
3. Reconciles batch totals to bank deposits and Blackbaud Merchant Services Account and submits validation reports with all supporting backup for approval.
4. Ensures all batches are closed by end of day.
5. Maintains and files donor and gift documents (paper and electronic) in an organized and confidential manner.
6. Assists with general office duties and mailings for events and solicitations as needed.
7. Proofreads acknowledgment letters and communicate with donors via email and/or phone.
8. Responds to and resolves all donor inquires via email or phone within 48 hours.
9. Ensures compliance with HIPAA, Donor Bill of Rights and Standard Fundraising Code of Ethics.
10. Escalates issues as necessary.

II. Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:
Required:
1. High School Diploma.

Preferred:
1. Associate's degree.

Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. Experience working in an office setting.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
3. Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills.
4. Possession of pleasant and collaborative style in the workplace including professional attitude, attention to detail, dependability and initiative.
5. Strong analytical and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
6. Sense of pride in effectively managing databases and passion for helping donors.

Preferred:
1. Raiser's Edge experience.

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
