Position Summary

The Office of Admissions at the NYU School of Professional Studies (SPS) is seeking an Administrative Aide II who will perform a wide range of clerical and general office duties including those of a confidential nature. The Assistant will respond to inquiries from prospective students, displaying a comprehensive knowledge of SPS programs. Interact with the general public as NYU liaison and with University personnel including those at the senior level to resolve issues and problems. Customize and/or compose correspondence and other communications on own initiative or in response to requests for information. Work with databases including Slate using intermediate to advanced-level functions, including complex spreadsheets and reports. Use Microsoft and Google softwares to support office work. Organize all components of students' applications in prepartion for admissions review.



Qualifications

Required Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Experience:
3+ years of office experience. Experience providing a high level of customer service.

Preferred Experience:
2+ years office experience (with Associate's). 1 year of office experience (with Bachelor's degree)

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Customer service oriented. Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Moderate to fast, accurate keyboarding. Good proofreading and writing skills.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate-level Microsoft Office. Good analytical, writing, and proofreading skills..



Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $39.129. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
