Business Unit Description:
As a key member of the Quality Assurance team, you will play an integral part in helping Enovis drive the medical technology industry forward through transforming patient care and creating better patient outcomes.

Job Title/High-Level Position Summary:

  • The Quality Engineering Technician supports the Quality Engineering team by executing and coordinating key quality system activities. This role plays an active part in the Material Review Board (MRB) process, assisting with the disposition, tracking, and closure of nonconformance reports. The position also supports engineers through data collection and analysis, execution of protocols, preparation of quality metrics, and assistance with experiments and investigations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and persistent in following up to ensure actions are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB) process by supporting the review, disposition, documentation, and closure of nonconformance reports
  • Track nonconformances, MRB actions, and follow-up activities to ensure timely resolution and closure
  • Assist Quality Engineers with collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to support investigations, validations, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Execute approved protocols and test plans under the direction of Quality Engineering staff
  • Prepare and maintain quality metrics, reports, and dashboards using tools such as Excel and other quality systems
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective actions by gathering evidence, documentation, and supporting data
  • Perform basic experiments, inspections, or shop-floor quality activities as assigned
  • Write and route Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Support internal and external audits and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Maintain accurate quality records in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional partners to follow up on assigned actions and deliverables

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in quality, manufacturing, engineering support, or a related technical role
  • Demonstrated ability to use computers effectively, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience tracking tasks, actions, or projects and following up to completion
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in written and verbal English

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel (domestic or international) is expected to be very infrequent but may occur occasionally for meetings, supplier visits, or training.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field (preferred but not required)
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device experience is a plus)
  • Familiarity with precision machine shop operations, inspection techniques, and manufacturing processes
  • Experience working with nonconformance reports, MRB activities, and corrective action systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Tenacity and persistence in following up on open items and driving tasks to closure
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support multiple engineers or projects simultaneously
